Bloodwork:Bodies It’s finally here!
I can’t believe it is finally all coming to fruition. If you’re in The Bay Area Thursday night, stop in and say “Hi”.

I had the humbling experience of seeing proofs of Bloodwork: Bodies when I was in San Jose last weekend. Seeing something tangible for the first time after almost two years of hard work was exciting to say the least. I can’t wait until this thing is out.
This picture of Adrian thumbing through said proofs was made with some crossed processed Velvia, that had to be ten years old, shot in my Bronica.

After six months I finally got I a shot of Jim Miner worthy of The ATAK portrait series. Jim’s station is in the darkest corner of the studio… That’s my excuses for lagging and I’m sticking to it.

Third in a series of portraits of the active members of The Analog Tattoo Arts Kolective at work. All the photographs in the series were made with my Bronica rangefinder film camera and this shot is no exception. The subject this time is the sovereign of the shop and overseer of tattoo operations, Adrian Lee.

And here we have Mr. Matt Shamah, also of ATAK. This picture too was made with the Bronica rangefinder just a few minutes after the previous shot of Ron. I feel a series coming on…

Here we find one Ronald Earhart hard at work at San Jose’s own Analog Tattoo. I shot this with my Bronica using Kodak Portra 400 film during my last trip up to The Bay Area

This past Saturday was the exhibition for Bloodwork:Sleeves at Three Tides Tattoo in Osaka, Japan.

There was a great turn out, several killer DJ’s, and a mobile burger stand, named Critter Burger selling the “Three Tides Burger”

People seemed to dig the work.

And a good time was had by all. Big thanks to everyone at TTT for all the help and support over the years. Next show is this Saturday at Tower Records in Shibuya, Tokyo.

I’m Getting excited to head back to Japan next week with the Analog Tattoo Crew.
Last time I was there was in 2006 for the Full Coverage exhibition.
This time around we’re showing Bloodwork:Sleeves. It’ll be up at 3 Tides in Osaka on February 6th, and at Tower Records in Tokyo on February 13th. We’ll also be traveling to several top secret studios around Hokkaidō, beginning photography for the next Bloodwork book due out in 2011. I’ll be blogging and posting photos as much as possible from the road. Stay tuned.
